Z.ai

Chinese AI lab spun out of Tsinghua University (formerly Zhipu AI), building the open-weight GLM family. Rebranded internationally as Z.ai in 2025. AI Release Tracker has logged 11 Z.ai models, from ChatGLM-6B (Mar 14 2023) through GLM-5.2 (Jun 16 2026). On average a new Z.ai model arrives about every 64 days, with the next projected around Aug 19, 2026. Its strongest benchmark results to date include SWE-Bench Pro (62.1%, on GLM-5.2), and Humanity's Last Exam (40.5%, on GLM-5.2). 9 of the 11 models tracked here are open-weight or open-source; the rest are proprietary.
