## About Kimi Chat

Kimi Chat is Moonshot AI’s hosted assistant product, through which users interact with the Kimi model line. Its conversational interface lets users ask questions and work with written material. The service has evolved across model generations, with later Kimi releases adding their own reasoning and agent capabilities.

This entry represents the early assistant product rather than a separately downloadable checkpoint. Specifications from later Kimi K2 or K3 releases should be tied to those models instead of being applied retroactively to the original chat service. The hosted product name alone does not identify a fixed architecture, parameter count or model-weight license.
